Cassia Hill Resort
Cassia Hill Resort Limited was first build in 1987, by the original owners, Lourdes & Bobby Hales. Windy Hill Resort Ltd., as it was once known for over 25 years, was a family owned and operated business and built a reputation for offering the finest in Belizean Hospitality. In 2012 Bobby and Lourdes were ready to retire and put the property up for sale. A Guatemalan investor bought the property in 2012 and a few years later, in 2017, Jonathan Lohr a well-known real estate broker and business man along with his wife Christie and their three beautiful children, became the new owners of this amazing piece of real estate. For reasons beyond their control, Christie and Jonathan saw the need to change the name from Windy Hill Resort to Cassia Hill Resort. Cassia Hill, a full-service Belize Resort, sits on a 90-acre property located just outside of San Ignacio Town, amidst rainforest trails, fruit trees and beautifully landscaped tropical gardens. The resort consists of 20 private rooms and cabañas, dining room, bar, gift shop, and swimming pool. The primary advantage of this resort is being strategically located right in the center of the greatest tour destination that Belize has to offer; including Maya Temples, ceremonial caves, rainforests trails, waterfalls and pristine jungle rivers.

Bambu Tea + Coffee
Leading the trend in both bubble tea shops and specialty coffee shops, Bambu Tea + Coffee boasts two locations expanding the menu to include coffees and food. BamBu Tee serves a most refreshing, rich in variety and extremely delicious tea drink called bubble tea. Besides green or black tea a choice of concentrated fruit juices, milk, yoghurt and so-called “toppings” are used as ingredients. These can be the traditional tapioca pearls (produced from cassava root starch) but also pieces of jelly or popping boba). By the way, the name “bubble tea” does not derive from the tapioca pearls. Instead, it refers to the ultra fine foam that emerges on the surface when shaking the tea with fruit sugar, ice and milk. Bubble tea was invented in the 1980s in a cosy tea house in central Taiwan, home of the premium-quality Formosa teas. By now, bubble tea is well-known far beyond Taiwan’s borders. At first, the neighbouring Asian countries caught the bubble tea fever. And soon, it spread via the North American Chinatowns all across Canada and the USA. And this cult drink’s triumph through Latin America has already begun.
